Afghan Ambassador Umar Zakhelwal and COAS Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa | Giving peace a chance?

ISLAMABAD: Afghanistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Hazrat Umar Zakhelwal on Wednesday met Pakistan Army Chief Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa in Rawalpindi and discussed security related issues.
Zakhelwal, who is President Ashraf Ghani’s special representative as well, tweeted that he had a detailed discussion on several issues, including measures for peace and stability in both countries.
Pakistan military spokesman also confirmed the meeting between Zakhelwal and Bajwa today and said issues of mutual interest including security situation have been discussed.
A Pakistani Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release indicates both were pleased with the “gradual improvement in bilateral cooperation”.
