LAHORE: The Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) and the Pakistan Federation for Baseball (PFB) expressed their gratitude to the Sports Journalists Association of Lahore (SJAL) at an Eid party on Wednesday.
javascript:false The PCF and PFB were pleased that SJAL accepted their invitation and underscored the importance of sports journalism in playing an essential role in portraying the truth about sportsmen, sports organizers, their achievements, shortcomings and problems. They hoped journalists would encourage the government and corporate sector to invest in sports, which they said made up a substantial industry that could help sports in Pakistan and the Pakistani economy to grow.
The sports journalists acknowledged the PCF and PFB for hosting the Eid party and providing a platform to discuss sports matters in a befitting environment, pledging to extend their full support to sports organizers in highlighting achievements by sportsmen and organizers.
