ROME: Former European Central Bank chief Mario Draghi has Just been sworn-in as financially and medically beleaguered Italy’s prime minister.
Mr Draghi has broad political backing from main political parties, implying he will be able to push through his agenda with a cabinet he has lost no time in announcing. Luigi Di Maio remain foreign minister.
The previous prime minister, Giuseppe Conte, resigned in January over spending EU financial recovery money.
