President Ghani met the clerics at the Presidential Palace on Friday afternoon and once again expressed his grief at the terrorist attack on the Imam Zaman mosque in Kabul.
“We don’t want the war which (has been) imposed on us, but Afghanistan’s enemies should know they are isolated,” said the president, who blamed conspiracies for sectarian violence in Afghanistan but not identifying any.
He said recent attacks on mosques and imambargahs were part of “a satanic plot” that could be prevented with national unity and religious harmony. “Those who are rejecting peace” were the enemies of the Afghan people but they should know they cannot fragment Afghans on sectarian lines, he expounded to the clerics.
